What is the absolute servo motor:

Incremental and absolute refer to whether the encoder is incremental or absolute.

Incremental can only remember how many steps it has taken, of course, there will be an origin. Before starting the machine, it didn't know where it was before going to the origin for the first time.

As long as the absolute encoder power on, it can know where it is now.

Absolute encoder can be maintained after power off, as long as the battery has power, there is no need to find the origin.
